Grow Strong shares the story of the Green family and their pathway together from past, present and into the future, from generation to generation.

At the very top centre of the artwork, and placed upon each of the gathering circle, a traditional Elder with three people symbols highlights learning and growth, as knowledge and opportunity is passed on to the next generation.

This imagery, together with traditional people and gathering symbols, depicts the family’s journey forward, highlighting the Green family, as direct descendants of Rose Lambert Green, the daughter of King Jimmy, tribal leader and Elder of the Dabee clan of the Wiradjuri peoples from the Cudgegong, Kandos and Rylstone areas. Flowing across the canvas are the three rivers of the Wiradjuri peoples, with emphasis across the centre of the Cudgegong River, it’s banks home to the Dabee clan, which reflects traditional life and connection to country over countless generations.

Traditional Elder’s symbols, and goanna tracks of the Wiradjuri totem, brings an acknowledgement to traditional custodians of the land, alongside an acknowledgment to the traditional custodians of the lands upon which the Green family live and work.

A Witma (building) backdrop brings an intricate songline on country backdrop to the artwork, highlighting DCL Engineering Group and their vision to achieve better asset outcomes for clients, across their three locations in Wollongong, Fairfield, and Newcastle.

Together the artwork imagery celebrates the Green family’s connection to country and follows their unique dreaming tracks, as they work together around a shared vision for family and business.
