Woneyn Mariyang shares the story of Housing State-wide Services (HSS), acknowledging Traditional Custodians across their NSW footprint on country and celebrating commitment to leading a network of housing providers, who serve people and communities beyond providing a service.

Central to the design a large gathering circle is reflective of HSS, while outward flowing pathways from the gathering stretch across the canvas, representative of connection to community and the intricate HSS networks, working together across the State, to support clients towards having a home, comfort and holistic wellbeing.

Upon this central gathering 6 tradition people symbols sit around a home design, made up of people symbols, holding layers of meaning within the artwork.  The imagery highlights HSS is about people first, while the house design at the centre reflects the importance of a safe place to call home.

The 6 people represent the HSS values and code to work by, being:

• Respectful services, we put people at the centre of everything we do;
• Culture is ever present;
• Language impacts on practice;
• Continual learning and critique leads to improved practice;
• Trusting relationships creative positive change and
• Integrity and accountability are essential in every aspect of our work.

From the central design the 6 people symbols expand and flow outwards across country, depicting the widespread linkages, partnerships, and teamwork across the HSS network that leads to holistic support through working together to connect people into community opportunities that bring empowerment and self-determination.  The people imagery is symbolic of inclusion and diversity across our communities and the vision to provide homes that meet the needs of all people.

A backdrop of songlines on country depicts the beauty of our NSW landscapes, respecting and acknowledging all represented tribal groups and the invaluable cultural knowledge they contribute to going forward together around shared vision for homes that meet the needs of communities.
