Turool Yapang shares the story of human experience across NSW Health, bringing an acknowledgement to the original custodians across the services footprint on country, while sharing commitment and vision to elevating the human experience and quality of care for all within health.

Central to the artwork, four gathering circles, overlaid with traditional people symbols reflect ‘It’s about People’, with focus on patient experience, staff well-being, care givers and an organisational culture that is culturally sensitive and inclusive, bringing connection to culture and community. This imagery rises upwards across the canvas, depicting a journey of healing and resilience, expanding outward as a representation of bringing awareness and educational opportunities that promote cultural understanding and respect in healthcare settings.

These four gathering circles are significant as imagery shares working together as a team to foster a culture of kindness, compassion, respect, and empathy in the delivery of healthcare, Highlighting  care for others and connecting with community.

Compassion, care for others and connecting with community are illustrated through Indigenous symbol.  To the left of the pathway, we see a design representing NSW Health’s commitment to human experience and to the right, a further design, reflecting the commitment to creating a culture of kind and compassionate care.

Elder’s symbolism within the design, alongside a backdrop of songlines on country brings an acknowledgment to all Aboriginal tribal groups across NSW, with emphasis on cultural safety and respect for the Indigenous ways of knowing and being.
