Matara Matara celebrates doing life together, hand in hand, highlighting the partnerships of Big Brown House, Ingegrity4Life and The Gray Area alongside their shared vision to serve, support and care  for communities across their footprint on country.  The artworks visual narrative respectfully acknowledges traditional custodians and their connection to the lands and waterways, upon which the services operate.  Central to the artwork, interconnected traditional people symbols upon a gathering circle, highlight the strong three-service partnership and their shared dedication to meeting community needs.  This imagery highlights the mission to provide high quality person centred services that support children, young people and families to reconnect and thrive.  The people symbols expand outwards across country, reflective of teamwork and collaboration, to bring support services that facilitate positive outcomes in communities.  Pathways of ‘hand in hand’ people symbols also interweave throughout the design and connect traditional symbolism depicting: Big Brown House at top left, Integrity 4 Life at middle right and The Gray Area at centre bottom of the canvas.  This imagery holds a threefold meaning within the design:  It captures connection and healthy relationships within the services, families, communities and local teams that contribute to holistic outcomes; Highlights the services across the NSW footprint and the Big Brown House vision for children, young people and families to grow, feel connected and empowered, in a safe and supportive environment;  And is reflective of children and youths learning and growing as they are nurtured and cared for along the pathways of opportunities presented.  Big Brown House imagery has 5 people symbols within the design, reflective of the organisations core values of safe, supportive, quality, respect and acceptance.  The visual narrative is set upon a backdrop of songlines on country, representative of tribal clan groups, connection to country and cultural values upon the services footprint and brings a respectful acknowledgement of traditional custodians of the land.  These landscapes are interwoven throughout the design and depict our rivers, creeks, wetlands and waterways, as well as our mountains, hills and plains intertwined with the trade and journey routes of Aboriginal people over thousands of years. Songlines flow across the canvas and continue in each direction, symbolic of past, present and the future generations to come. Together, Matara Matara celebrates culture, community, connection and family as we go forward together ‘hand in hand’.
