This artwork shares the story of friendship, close relationship and extended family.  A central gathering circle flowing across the artwork reflects the journey of doing life together and the sisterhood shared between Amy and Jess.

The top left of the canvas highlights Amy with her son and daughter, while to the bottom right of the imagery,  Jess and her daughter are shown.  Together this imagery reflects connection and friendship.

The backdrop of the artwork shares songlines on country. Awabakal, where Amy lives today, through the eagle hawk totem, soaring and Darkinjung, Amy’s tribal people from the Central Coast.  Darkinjung are symbolically represented through middens imagery flowing across the bottom of the artwork.  Middens are discarded shell after traditional feasting on shellfish around our waterways and are prevalent on this country.

As an artist, I enjoy the creative journey of collaboration experienced when connecting directly with people, to create personalised artwork. I welcome opportunity to create commissioned artworks for individuals, groups or professional organisations.  My goal in accepting commission is for the process to be both gratifying for me, as an artist and pleasurable for those who have decided to integrate my art into their living or working environment.

I invite you to view my past works, current collections and view testimonials to gain an insight into who I am as a person and an artist. Let’s see how we might work together to create a uniquely individual artwork for your home or office.
